Pixel Laser Resurfacing

Pixel Laser Resurfacing is designed to improve the quality and texture of the skin while it stimulates collagen regeneration – all without the downtime associated with classical skin resurfacing.

Skin conditions like visible aging, acne scarring, and excess pigmentation affect thousands of people, and though neither is particularly damaging to the physical health, both can have a huge impact on confidence and self-esteem.

What is the difference between various Resurfacing Laser Treatments?

Laser Resurfacing means that part of the skin surface is vaporized in the process, followed by a couple of days of healing.

Laser Resurfacing Treatments could be:

  • Ablative (when the entire skin surface is vaporized)
  • Fractional Ablative (when microscopic columns of tissue are vaporized)
  • Non-Ablative (when heat columns are delivered without burning the surrounding tissue)

3 types of Fractional Ablative Laser Treatments

CO2 laser is considered to be the most aggressive and is usually operated only by medical doctors, because of the risk of unwanted side effects.

Pixel & Fraxel: The laser wavelength should be understood as the depth of which a laser penetrates into the skin. The wavelength for Fraxel lasers is either 1320 nm or 1440 nm, while the wavelength for Pixel lasers is 2940 nm.  Pixel has a longer wavelength than Fraxel, therefore penetrating deeper into the skin. Collagen and elastin fibers together with fibroblasts, the specialized cells of collagen formation are located deep in the dermis that is why a longer laser wavelength (Pixel) is advantageous over a Fraxel treatment.

The Pixel™ is the next generation of non- invasive laser skin resurfacing technology that improves:
  • Fine lines to improves acne scars
  • Skin tone to improves surgical and traumatic scars
  • Brown spots to improves pore appearance
